Founded in 1956 — 70 Years in 2026

Celebrating our 70th anniversary in 2026. While honouring tradition, we continually develop products that meet the needs of each era, always with an eye toward creating new value. Our team includes certified traditional craftspeople, and skilled artisans at every stage of production work tirelessly to raise the standard of quality.

Lidded Vessels

Our founder, Kiyomi Tanaka, recognised the potential of lidded vessels early on — beginning with chawanmushi steamers. That dedication to covered ware has continued to this day, with over 100 distinct shapes developed across the decades.

Our Commitment to Quality

We fire our kiln for 16 to 17 hours, raising the temperature to 1,300°C for a thorough and robust firing that gives our pieces exceptional durability. By applying commercial-grade techniques and design to everyday tableware, we have steadily broadened our range — with many pieces celebrating bright, vibrant colours.
